About Us

History

Unique Venues of London (UVL) was established in 1993, as a membership organisation of 18 unique and specialist properties within the capital. Now, with 68 member venues from across the industry, the organisation is in an excellent position to comment on market trends and other issues on behalf of both its members and all London based venues. The organisation has the support of Visit London, VisitBritain and London Mayor, Ken Livingstone, who all take an active interest in the group's activity.

What We Do

UVL offers the events organiser access to its 68 member venues via its comprehensive marketing campaign. By exhibiting at key national and international trade exhibitions, producing an annual brochure and offering a comprehensive website, UVL allows the events organiser to accurately search for suitable venues to meet their event criteria. Access to the member venues is guaranteed at all times streamlining communication and ensuring clarity.

Membership Criteria

Membership of UVL is by invitation and subject to adherence to the company's criteria. Prospective member venues must be located within the M25, have been trading in events for more than one year and be able to demonstrate legislative adherence in addition to proven event management excellence. The membership cost is based on the businesses' turnover, rather than a flat fee, allowing any unique venue to be considered for membership, regardless of business size and venue capacity.
