Golden glow by Simply Flowers
The warmest night of the spring so far this year saw the Royal Academy bathed in gold! A large reception was held in the Fine Rooms to celebrate the hugely successful Van Gogh exhibition and what better way to reflect the great artist’s work than by using flowers from his native country.Simply Flowers went to town with hundreds of glorious yellow tulips and tall stems of flowering forsythia in large urn displays and mirror bowls. Tealights lined the stairs up to the exhibition and tall silver lanterns showed guests the way home at the end of the evening.
Rhubarb catered the 450-guest event, while soft golden lighting and audio was provided by White Light.
