White Light & Christmas 2011’s Pantomimes

White Light supplies Britain’s traditional Christmas entertainment - twenty-seven times over!

December is a time for panto, as Britain’s theatres stage their annual Christmas entertainments, all using lighting technology to create the magical effects these shows demand - many turning to entertainment lighting specialist White Light to supply the gear they need.

White Light will this year be supplying twenty-seven pantomimes – including nine Cinderellas, four Aladdins, four Peter Pans, four Sleeping Beauties, three Dick Whittingtons, one Snow White and one A Christmas Carol. All of these shows, plus many other festive entertainments produced by professionals, schools and amateur companies, are drawing on not just White Light’s comprehensive ranges of conventional and moving lights, but also a diverse selection of effects including smoke, haze, UV light, snow, bubbles and, of course, pyrotechnics.

White Light is also once again supplying the rigs to two shows that have become modern Christmas classics - The Snowman, with lighting designed by Tim Mitchell, and White Christmas, with lighting designed by Ken Billington. Both shows are being seen around the UK this year in addition to The Snowman’s regular appearance in London.

In addition, White Light has been lighting a wide range of other festive events - parties, buildings, shops, and even three forests which have been dramatically brought to life by light - across the UK. All of this is in addition to supporting its regular roster of shows, including such long-running West End classics as Billy Elliot, Chicago, Les Misérables, War Horse, Shrek and The Wizard of Oz plus new hits Crazy For You and Matilda.

A complete service lighting company that has just celebrated its fortieth anniversary, White Light offers lighting hire, sales, installation, service, support, training and more for live events, television, theatre, film, and corporate productions worldwide.
