RCP achieves Gold Standard in national customer research awards

The Royal College of Physicians, the leading conference and events venue overlooking London’s Regent’s Park, is one of only 18 venues across the whole of the UK to achieve Gold Standard Accreditation from BDRC Continental, the specialist consumer research organisation.

BDRC’s ‘Venue Verdict’ awards, made each January, are given only to venues delivering the very highest levels of customer satisfaction over a full year, based on continuing assessment of customer feedback. During 2011, BDRC appraised a total of 350 providers across the hotels and specialist meeting venues sector.

Results are based on a minimum of 10 customer responses for each venue to ensure a balanced assessment. The methodology developed by BDRC achieves a very high level of independence and integrity and the awards are regarded as a true hallmark of quality.

The Royal College of Physicians is an award-winning Grade 1 listed modernist building. Its purpose designed conference facilities include lecture theatres, modern and historic meeting and seminar rooms, and a versatile range of exhibition spaces and dining facilities. The revenue generated by the RCP Conference Centre helps to fund the College’s many significant activities in improving the quality of healthcare.

“While our clients have the many advantages of basing their events at an iconic central London venue, we are absolutely committed to supporting those benefits with exceptional customer service,” commented Clive Ostler, the College’s General Manager, Marketing and Facilities: “The BDRC surveys are both ongoing and extremely stringent, so it is very satisfying to be placed in the very exclusive Gold standard group.”

BDRC Continental is the UK’s largest independent market research agency. Established in 1991, the company has built an unrivalled reputation as a full service consultancy with specialist expertise across a number of sectors including hotels, meetings and hospitality, hotels, leisure and tourism.
