26 November, Saul Steinberg: Illuminations
18/11/08
Our fantastic Christmas exhibition is opening. Saul Steinberg (1914 - 1999), American cartoonist and illustrator, is best known for his brilliant and barbed work for The New Yorker. His magic list up the covers and pages of the publication for six decades. This exhibition, the very first full-scale retrospective of Steinberg's career, features more than a hundred drawings, collages and sculptural assemblages by the artist whom many regard as not only comic genius but among the greatest draughtsmen of the modern era.
