Fashion designers pay homage to Dali in aid of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer

The Dali Universe, London's permanent Salvador Dali exhibition, is to host one of the most exciting fashion auctions ever witnessed by the capital.
Nine of the world's leading designers, Julien MacDonald, Allegra Hicks and Vivia Ferragamo among them, were asked to create a garment inspired by the legendary Spanish artist.
The sensational results will be unveiled at a star-studded event on 26th November 2008 during which each item will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, the flagship charity fashion campaign of Breakthrough Cancer.
The Dali Universe will be displaying a selection of the designs for the whole of 2009 as part of a worldwide commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the artist's death.
The designers taking part in the event are: Julien MacDonald, Bora Aksu, Graeme Black, Allegra Hicks as well as Maria Grachvogel, Manish Arora, Modernist, Anouska Hempel, Steve J & Yoni P and Vivia Ferragamo.
