24/05/07

Unique Venues of London is promoting its most exclusive venues to showcase some of the hidden gems on offer within its collection of 62 venues in the capital.

Charlotte Reeves, Chairman of UVL and Director of Corporate Relations at Somerset House said: “Not all organisers are looking for vast venues to hold large events; some organisers are looking for a small venue where they can hold an event which has that exclusive feel. Unique Venues of London has some stunning hidden gems perfect for that special board meeting or dinner.”

The Wallace Collection is a national museum which displays works of art bequeathed to the nation by Lady Wallace in 1897. Just minutes walk from Oxford Street, any one of the museum’s 25 galleries provides the prefect unique setting to hold a private event, all surrounded by priceless works of art including paintings by Titan and Rembrandt.

The Foundling Museum situated in London's Bloomsbury, on the former site of the Foundling Hospital has recently been sensitively refurbished to tell the poignant story of London’s first home for abandoned children. The grade II listed building provides a stunning mix of historic interiors and contemporary spaces including The Court Room, one of London's finest Rococo interiors.

The Fan Museum is the only museum in the world entirely dedicated to the history of fans. It is housed in beautifully restored 18th century townhouses in the centre of Maritime Greenwich.

In the evening guests have exclusive use of the entire museum and can enjoy a private tour of the exhibition. The museum provides the perfect setting for intimate dinners, stylish drinks receptions, and board meetings.

Trinity House, the headquarters of the General Lighthouse Authority overlooks Trinity Square and The Tower of London, it offers a unique suite of elegant rooms and can hold luncheons, dinner parties and board meeting for up to 120 guests.

“Guests always enjoy events where they feel they are part of the ambience of the venue. UVL’s hidden gems provide the perfect settings for intimate events.” Reeves added.
