GUESTS ENJOY MAGICAL UVL PARTY
Unique Venues of London's (UVL) annual client party proved a huge success once again as more than 250 guests were given the opportunity to see all that the UVL collection has to offer, under the one roof. The party was held at the London Transport Museum on Monday 6 October. Guests had the chance to meet representatives from the 68 member venues including Royal Opera House, Westminster Abbey and Kew Gardens, as well as UVL's preferred suppliers.
Lisa Hatswell, Chairman of UVL and Sales and News Business Manager at the London Eye, said: "It was great to see so many people really interested in UVL and our fabulous range of unique and unusual venues. The organisation continues to go from strength to strength and the success of the party reflects this."
On the night party guests were greeted by Peacock stilt walkers from entertainment company Private Drama and enjoyed close up magic throughout the evening by magician Spencer Wood, before partying the night away with a Jazz Pop Quartet from Prelude. Guests were also able to take home their very own portrait in the style of a famous artist courtesy of Sternberg Clarke.
Delicious refreshments were served throughout the evening by Searcys including an oyster bar, Neal's Yard cheese selection and charcuteries, along with autumnal canapés, dessert canapés and themed cocktails such as the "Tipsy Trainspotter".
Lavender Green created contemporary floral designs around the venue using pale green and ivory Cymbidium Orchids and Helicopter grasses in unusual glass containers for a simple, structured look. The floral displays and venue was set off by evocative lighting by White Light. The company utilised new technology equipment which is suitable for use in some of UVL's sensitive galleries and historic buildings.
The event was also supported by other industry specialists including furniture and equipment hire by Jones Hire and design and print by The Cutting Edge.
