Lovat Fraser retires, UVL welcomes new chairman and vice chairman

01/01/06

Ian Lovat Fraser stepped down as Chairman of Unique Venues of London (UVL); the move coincides with his retirement as General Manager - Conference and Events at the Natural History Museum.

UVL was established in 1993 by Lovat Fraser, who will now adopt the Life President title; during his tenure the number of member venues has grown to 64. The organisation now welcomes new Chairman, Charlotte Reeves, and Vice Chairman, Lisa Hatswell. Charlotte Reeves, Director of Events at Somerset House commented: "Ian Lovat Fraser is an integral part of the organisation, although he has now retired, it seemed appropriate that he was awarded with an honorary title as members would still like him to be involved with UVL.

"He will be leaving the organisation in a tremendously strong position. Member venues have increased rapidly and we are already accepting applications for 2007 membership."

"During my time as Chairman I have worked with some passionate and talented individuals who have helped grow UVL into one of the most recognised collaboration of elite venues in the industry. I wish the new Chairman and Vice Chairman every success for the future," commented Lovat Fraser.
