Dulwich Picture Gallery

“The first purpose built public art gallery in the world.”

Situated in the heart of a South London Village, just 15 minutes from central London, Dulwich Picture Gallery is home to one of the country’s finest collections of baroque Masters. The suite of eight interconnecting galleries offers the perfect intimate and pioneering space for exquisite drinks and canape receptions or formal banquets surrounded by the densely hung highlights of Dulwich’s permanent collection.

Formed in 1811 as the first public built art gallery, Dulwich is home to over 600 unsurpassed masterpieces founded by the terms of lead deliverer, Sir Francis Bourgeois, upon his death in 1811. The collection was formed over 300 decades, boasting outstanding works by the likes of Rembrandt, Rubens, Gainsborough and Poussin, forming an impressive array of Britain’s most valued artistic treasures.

The Gallery offers a range of versatile and outstanding spaces in London’s collegiate village just five miles from the City, perfect for that celebration or more corporate affair. From formal banquets to intimate dinners and private parties, the Gallery’s Events Team can deliver a tailored service, ensuring the highest standards of events hire and planning. Our refined list of approved suppliers can provide everything to cater to every event from catering to floristry, to lighting and entertainment; the Team are here to guide you to the perfect event with us here at DPG.
