Wellington Arch

The Wellington Arch will close from the 9th December 2011 and will reopen with a bang in May 2012 after an extensive refurbishment. 

The Wellington Arch is one of the most unique spaces in London and will be undergoing extensive refurbishment to its interior over the winter.  The addition of a new floor will give much improved access to the balconies and their amazing views across London and into Buckingham Palace gardens. 

For the first time we will also be installing state of the art conferencing facilities and WiFi throughout the event spaces giving our corporate clients a level of service to rival the best in the industry.  Capacities look set to increase slightly with intimate dinners for 40 and drinks receptions for 80; in addition a regularly changing exhibition on the lower levels means there will be something new to see with each visit.

 

First erected in 1826 as a grand entrance from the west to Buckingham Palace, the Arch more recently served time as London's smallest police station! Wind your way up the Arch through the changing exhibitions (or take the lift straight to the top) to the Burton Room sitting in the heart of the Arch. Within the modern permanent exhibition, this room offers an intimate atmosphere for small dinners of up to 36 guests or a more lively space for receptions for 80. Pre-dinner drinks may take place in the adjoining anteroom or, alternatively, the Burton Room Gallery provides access to the exterior balconies and their breathtaking views over London.

Wellington Arch is also available for daytime hire during the week and provides the ideal location for product launches, press briefings or elegant corporate lunches.

An approved list of caterers and other suppliers is at hand together with the professional and personal attention of the on-site Hospitality Manager.
