Digital Marketing & Business Development Executive - Hayford & Rhodes

Hayford & Rhodes is one of London’s leading luxury florists, and is seeking a Digital Marketing and Business Development Officer. This is an exciting, target-driven role with scope for development and progression within a growing business.

The preferred candidate will have minimum two years digital marketing experience and will understand the unique needs of an SME. Working primarily with the Business Development Director and Brand Manager, the remit of the role is to drive new business, increase sales opportunities and maximise revenue for Hayford & Rhodes, with a focus on identifying trends through digital marketing to ensure the brand is at the forefront of industry developments.

Overview of Responsibilities

Digital Marketing:

  • Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and integrate content marketing strategies.
  • Manage the contact database and assist with lead generation activities.
  • Manage and maintain the website, including designing website banners and assisting with web visuals.
  • Oversee the social media strategy to increase engagement and brand awareness, including content generation (editorial and visual) for website and social media.
  • Track and analyse website traffic flow and provide regular internal reports and analysis to clients and company management to demonstrate effective ROI.
  • Conduct keyword research and web statistics reporting using web analytics software to monitor the performance of the website and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Attain KPIs such as reducing the website bounce rate, increasing dwell time and improving conversion.
  • On-going management and development of website SEO.
  • Fix any errors or bugs in online content.
  • Create online banner adverts and oversee PPC ad management.
  • Write, dispatch and track performance of email marketing campaigns.
  • Research new online media opportunities that may benefit the business including mobile, social media, development of blogs and forums.
  • Through management of the CRM system, identify partnership and client opportunities, particularly within the bouquets, contracts and B2B side of the business.
  • Ability to produce frequent, accurate and insightful data-driven reports on client needs, spending patterns and trend spotting.
  • Understand key requirements of existing and new clients to grow existing business relationships, target new areas of business growth and build new relationships
  • Assist the Business Development Director and Managing Director in preparing proposals, quotes and tenders
  • Attend industry and networking events and provide feedback on market and creative trends

Skills & Requirements:         

  • Excellent knowledge of HTML/JavaScript, SEO, CRM software and all social media and Microsoft packages.
  • Demonstrable experience of Hubspot or similar CRM and inbound marketing system, WordPress and Campaign Monitor.
  • Ability to work with a range of media: Photo and video editing skills essential.
  • Excellent editorial skills for content generation, and ability to adapt style to the Hayford & Rhodes brand.
  • Project management: Ability to create, manage and deliver the annual digital marketing plan.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate digital marketing strategies to those unfamiliar with the medium or how digital technologies are applied.
  • Experience in the London events industry is preferred.
  • Proven knowledge and successful delivery of industry-related business development and sales strategies.
  • A positive attitude with a friendly and approachable personality, who is excited to be a positive ambassador of the Hayford & Rhodes brand.

  • Reports to Business Development Director and Brand Manager
  • Located in London Bridge
  • Competitive salary, subject to previous experience and agreed hours
  • Full time preferred, part-time will be considered
  • Bonus/ incentive scheme
