Event Manager (Fixed Term) - Royal Albert Hall

Contract: Maternity Cover (9 month Fixed Term Contract)

For nearly 150 years we have been inspiring artists and audiences worldwide with the magic of the iconic Royal Albert Hall; creating life-enriching, unforgettable experiences for everyone.  Hosting over 380 events in the main auditorium and more than 400 in other smaller spaces, it stands true to the vision of Prince Albert in promoting an understanding and appreciation of the Arts and Sciences.  As a charity the Hall is dedicated to maintaining the Grade 1 listed building and to giving access to all, through an eclectic mix of events, a thriving education programme and a range of daytime activities.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Event Manager to join the Production and Technical team on a fixed term basis. This role will involve the managing of events from start to finish, being responsible for overseeing every aspect of the planning process and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers. The post-holder will work closely with promoters, production companies, contractors and technicians as well as many departments at the Hall.

The person

With demonstrable experience of directly managing a broad variety of complex events, ideal applicants will have the initiative, interpersonal skills and can-do approach required for this challenging role. Excellent organisational and team working skills, an eye for detail and an informed knowledge of current Health & Safety practices and entertainment industry standards and procedures are all key, as is a flexible proactive attitude.
