Group Sales Executive - Smart Group

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, privately owned group of hospitality, catering and event management businesses based in South East London. Multi award-winning Smart Group is at the forefront of the event management industry with an enviable portfolio of companies.

The candidate will be a key member of the Smart Group central sales function, assisting and reporting to the Agency Account Manager. The candidate will be required to engage in pro-active business development and reactive sales enquiries, with a particular focus on agency enquiries. The candidate will also provide sales and administrative support to the Agency & Group’s venue sales team.

About you:

  • Previous experience in sales and events is desirable
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build very good rapport with clients and colleagues
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive in approach to tasks and project work

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Administration

  • Answering phones and assist with incoming enquiries
  • Assisting the agency and exclusive venue sales team in producing & amending proposals when required
  • Day to day use and support on the CRM system
  • Assisting the Head of Agency Development in the planning and run up to Smart Friends, the Smart Group Agency Incentive Scheme
  • Assisting the Venue Sales Manager with managing guest RSVP’s, sending tickets and table planning for group venue hosting 

Venue and Exclusive Party Sales

A key responsibility of the candidate will be developing into selling our portfolio of exclusive Venues and Christmas Venues with full support from the Agency Account Manager and Venue Sales Manager

Responsibilities will include:

  • Fielding phone and email enquiries
  • Creating P&L’s for new enquiries
  • Producing proposals
  • Creating and updating opportunities in the CRM system
  • Site Visits with clients and agents
  • Contracting and handover with the account management team
  • Contributing to the Agency and exclusive Venue Sales targets each year

Marketing

  • Managing the Sales Tool box and ensuring that the drop box and iPad are kept up to date with all latest  images, brochures and floor plans
  • Assist with obtaining event case studies to be used for marketing collateral
  • Assisting with on-site social media with support from the Design & Social Media Executive
