Head of Events and Corporate Partnerships - Royal College of Music

Founded in 1882, The Royal College of Music (RCM) is a world leading music conservatoire with a prestigious history and contemporary outlook. Our excellence was recognised by the 2022 QS World University Rankings, in which we were ranked as the global top institution for performing arts by Subject.

Following a £40milllion building development, the RCM is looking for a new Head of Events & Corporate Partnerships to lead an expanding team, oversee responsibility for internal and external events and grow giving through corporate partnerships.

Reporting to the Director of Development, the post-holder will implement the strategy for fundraising events, corporate partnerships, and venue hire. This includes the marketing, sales, planning and delivery of events. The Head of Events & Corporate Partnerships will work to develop the use of RCM venues for general hire, including performance events, conferences, corporate hires, filming, and photography and develop reactive and proactive sales proposals to attract new and repeat business.

The position will require someone with significant experience in events and venue sales as well as management experience. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of effectively managing relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, agencies, suppliers, partners, and prospects to provide a first-class service. An appreciation of the arts and music, with a desire to immerse yourself in the work and culture of the RCM, is essential.
