Marketing Assistant (part time - 3 days a week) - Twickenham Stadium

Nature and Scope

This is a support based marketing role challenged with assisting the Twickenham Experience Limited (TEL) Marketing Manager with everyday marketing activities for) TEL. TEL is responsible for servicing all match and non-match day customers of the stadium including conference and event customers. The role will focus on developing all aspects of TEL’s marketing via the Twickenham Stadium brand with a key focus on Conference & Events and some match day food & beverage (F&B).

The role requires attention to detail, understanding of marketing principles, a creative ability and the desire to follow marketing campaigns through from beginning to end. This role would suit an individual who has a real interest in developing their knowledge in marketing.

Relationships: The post reports directly to the TEL Marketing Manager and requires effective day to day working relationships with staff in all departments of TEL, the RFU, suppliers and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support TEL in achieving the annual sales budget.

  • Assist with the design and development of appropriate marketing material & media to support the C&E team.

  • Monitor and improve third party web presence and assist in tracking ROI results quarterly.

  • Assist in monitoring and influencing TEL brand integrity and highlight areas that need updating or improving.

  • Liaise with all sales and marketing suppliers professionally and ensure all services they provide are delivered to specification and in a timely fashion.

  • Develop appropriate content for the various marketing tools and strategies.

  • Review and manage the TEL image library highlighting areas of need.

  • Capture content at events including photography and video.

  • Monitor and report on competitor activity.

  • Monitor internal sales material stock levels, re-order where necessary.

  • Support with proposals for sales team.

  • Effectively monitor and maintain client information on the TEL database and diary management system, adhering to compliance standards set.

  • Assist in monitoring the marketing plan to ensure activities are on schedule.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Develop TEL’s marketing effectiveness by supporting the TEL Marketing Manager, in developing and communicating strong marketing communications to internal and external customers.

  2. Liaise professionally with TEL’s suppliers and intermediaries, providing accurate information and ensuring timelines are met.

  3. Monitor and develop TEL’s third parties.

  4. Ensure effective communication internally and with TEL partners.

  5. Maintain an appropriate standard of confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should be educated to at least 'A' level standard

Required Experience

  • Have a grasp of marketing principles

  • Be capable of managing multiple tasks and the ability to respond in a timely manner

  • Be competent in Microsoft Office with a good understanding of Excel

  • Have a professional telephone manner and be confident liaising with external suppliers

  • Previous experience in using design tools is desirable

  • An interest in photography/videography is desirable

Background

  • Personal circumstances must allow the candidate to work extended hours on occasion during times of peak activity including all match/event days in evenings/weekends (circa 12 a year).
