Sales and Events Coordinator – Historic venue

(Permanent Appointment, based in the City)

- £25,000pa (plus benefits)

This stunning, award winning venue is seeking to appoint a Sales and Events Coordinator to join their dedicated team within the commercial events department.  Due to its location in the City, the venue is popular with financial institutions, law firms and global brands as well as providing a unique backdrop for weddings and private parties. This is an exceptionally varied role offering the opportunity to work on events from start to finish, converting enquiries, managing bookings, nurturing client accounts and working with suppliers to provide a flawless service to the client on the day.

In addition to coordinating a wide range of corporate and private events, the Events Coordinator will organise and attend client tastings, site visits and FAM trips and will work on dedicated sales and marketing campaigns.

Other responsibilities are as follows:

•             Event manage on all assigned events taking place

•             Assist in ensuring the catering company is operating at an optimum capacity, maximising income

•             Contribute to achieve and exceed where possible, the monthly and yearly sales targets set by the Board

•             Customer account management to ensure repeat bookings have been explored

•             Upsell additional provisions wherever possible

•             Upon confirmation from a client, ensure that contracts and deposits are implemented for each event and deposits are paid in full prior to the event taking place

•             Create and update function sheets

•             Initiate commission invoices and manage client debtors

•             Raise the final invoice after receiving the consumption sheet and send out to clients

•             Collate testimonials for future marketing campaigns and assist the marketing manager with both Google and social media reviews

•             Liaise with outside suppliers to cater for the additional needs of the client such as AV, flowers and entertainment

•             Maintain a good knowledge of the company’s key competitors and their sales and development activities

•             Assist with analysis of the business and its marketing activities

•             Help maintain the photograph library for marketing purposes

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar, high profile unique venue and will be used to working on events from start to finish.
