Venue Business Development & Marketing Manager
Salary: c. £35k (per annum)
The British Academy – the UK’s national academy for the humanities and social sciences – is seeking a Venue Business Development & Marketing Manager for their commercial venue hire business.
The post will maximise commercial income, by increasing occupancy and revenue for the British Academy through a proactive programme of sales and marketing activity, targeting new business and increasing revenue from existing business.
The successful candidate must have extensive experience in a busy sales environment and a proven track record of business development planning and meeting/exceeding sales targets.
He/she must also have excellent customer service and relationship management skills, as well as being highly organised and able to manage conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.
The ability to work flexible hours with a variable schedule during the normal work day (8.00am – 8.00pm) including early starts, late finishes and some weekends, is also an essential requirement for this post.
This is a permanent position, offered at a salary circa £35k per annum. The Academy offers 34 days of annual holiday, excellent benefits (including a defined benefit pension scheme) and one of the best locations in London.
