Earlier this year The Admirable Crichton hosted a dinner at Westminster Abbey to celebrate becoming an accredited supplier. Guests were enchanted by the architecture of The Chapter House whilst enjoying Champagne and canapés.
The beauty of the stunning Cheynegates space speaks for itself, so the dining table was simply, yet elegantly set with delicate posies of Romulus, Daisies and Poppies in cut glass vases. The accreditation coincided with Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th Birthday celebrations and the dramatic portrait by Ralph Heimans, commissioned to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee, looked down on the proceedings from the wall.
Feeling relaxed and happy guests enjoyed delicious new summer dishes created by the Admirable Crichton chefs. Time flew as all great evenings do and guests were keen to take a private tour of the Abbey.
This beautiful, iconic and most famous of buildings is a fantastic space for private dinners and receptions and can be made even more special, if that were possible, by taking a private tour as part of your plans.
The Cellarium, a medieval undercroft with vaulted ceiling, dates back to the 14th century and was used by monks to store their food and drink and is perfect for evening events.
The Cellarium Terrace is a contemporary event space in an otherwise historic building showcasing a stunning blend of past and present architecture. The Terrace offers fantastic views of the Abbey's West Towers and access to an exclusive outside area and is perfect for drinks or dinner.
