The Admirable Crichton

Sunday, February 5, 2017 - 16:30

The Natural History Museum’s Earth Hall was selected as the perfect venue for the book launch of Rutland Hall Publishing’s beautifully illustrated coffee table book, ‘Timeless Treasures’ which explores the regal culture of Indian marriages, characterised by abundant gift-giving and lavish displays of priceless jewellery gifts and textiles, icon brands and traditions.

The event was the perfect synergy between Rutland Hall Publishing and Maia by The AC as Directors Ungelie Patel and Andy Varma are also on the Board of Maia by The AC, the luxury Asian catering and party design brand of The Admirable Crichton.

Over 300 guests enjoyed a canapé and drinks reception, welcome speeches and glittering showcase of new high-end fashion collections from Sabyasachi and Cartier. Guests were invited to purchase signed copies of the new release and offered the rare opportunity to privately view the Earth’s Treasury collections.

Maia by The AC’s project manager Charlie Womack oversaw the venue’s event design, ensuring the Earth Hall’s decor was modern whilst reflecting the book cover’s colour scheme of deep fuchsia. Also responsible for delivering the mouth-watering catering, Maia by the AC’s chef director Andy Varma collaborated with The Admirable Crichton’s executive head chef Andy Ritchie to create a unique menu of blended Asian and Modern British flavours. The bespoke menu included fabulous Asian Maia canapés and bowl food, alongside modern British cuisine.

Ungelie Patel thanked the event sponsors, including Wise Productions and Pinstripes and Peonies saying, “It is testament to the suppliers working harmoniously together in order to maximise the tight lead times ahead of the book’s publication date, creating a memorable evening for our high-profile attendees.”
