The Lord’s Dining Club is a unique culinary experience where visionary chefs descend upon the Long Room, at the home of cricket – Lord’s Cricket Ground – to showcase their passion, talent and gastronomic imagination for guests to savour.
Following its award-winning launch year, 2020 will see Tom Aikens, Chef Patron of Tom’s Kitchen open the series on 25th March 2020. Tom is one of the most acclaimed and inspirational chefs in the country, having been the youngest British Chef to be awarded two Michelin stars, aged 26.
Tom is followed by Chantelle Nicholson, multi-award winning Chef Patron at Tredwells who will host Lord’s Dining Club on 7th May and Mark Birchall, Chef Patron at Moor Hall in Lancashire which has been awarded two Michelin stars and five AA Rosettes, rounds of the 2020 series on 20 October.
Launched to honour the age-old pairing of food and cricket, Lord's Dining Club couples the traditions of Marylebone Cricket Club with innovative cooking from a line-up of world-renowned Michelin-starred chefs. The programme launched in 2019 and has already seen sold out dining events hosted by Tommy Banks, Michael Caines, and most recently, chef patron of Belmond le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, Raymond Blanc OBE, who rounded off the 2019 series wih a spectacular dining experience for over 170 guests on Wednesday, 27th November.
Each event takes place in the Grade II*-listed Pavilion, including a Nyetimber sparkling wine reception with a selection of MCC canapés in the Long Room Bar – or in the famous Dressing Room for those who wish to indulge with a VIP package – before feasting on a four-course menu in the historic surroundings of the Long Room. The evenings conclude with drinks provided by Sipsmith Gin.
Commenting on his experience at Lord’s, Michelin-Starred chef, Tommy Banks, said: "Lord's Dining Club has been the highlight of my year. The opportunity to combine my two passions, cooking and cricket, was a dream come true".
The menus are exclusively designed by the host chef and each course is paired with a matching wine, chosen to enhance the culinary delights on offer.
