Beautiful Rooms - The Library, One Birdcage Walk

Wednesday, January 19, 2022 - 11:15

One Birdcage Walk is located in the heart of Westminster, a mere few minutes’ walk away from the houses of parliament and the Elizabeth Tower.

The Library at One Birdcage Walk is the jewel in the crown of our historic building beautifully designed by architect Basil Slade in its Elizabethan-style. Boasting stunning views over leafy St James's Park, this attractive space is clad in warm oak and features opulent décor and a beautiful ornate gilded ceiling. It also presents a tastefully decorated two-storey bookshelf surrounding the space.

Still a functioning library today, the library holds archives dating back to the early 19th century and provides a fairy-tale-like setting for your event.

A washed with natural light and containing many distinctive period features, the Library has proven a popular choice for filming and photography, as well as a reception or dinner space, providing a cosy yet opulent atmosphere for a wide range of events.

The Library can accommodate 120 guests for dinner and 200 for a drinks reception.

Other great unique features of the Library include:

  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • Air conditioning
  • Beautiful wrought iron-clad balcony
  • Skylights and double-height windows
