Beautiful Rooms - The Music Room

Thursday, October 8, 2020 - 08:00

The Music Room at {10-11} Carlton House Terrace, is often hailed as the venues most beautiful room by our clients, and we couldn’t agree more.

The Music Room gets its name from the ornate plasterwork adorned on the walls where you can find several different musical instruments depicted.

Overlooking the garden square of Carlton House Terrace, the room has large windows bringing in plenty of natural light and the decorative painted window blinds draw the eye up to two impressive golden chandeliers. The central carved fireplace makes a perfect focal point for flowers.

When Prime Minister Gladstone lived at number 11 Carlton House Terrace, the Music Room was the centre of musical and intellectual gatherings in London and his renowned ‘Thursday breakfasts’ were always well attended and often booked up 12 months in advance.

The venue is still extremely popular for hosting private parties and celebrations and the room is highly favoured by couples looking to get married. The Music Room is always a firm favourite with brands looking to launch their next products and fashion shows/photography have skyrocketed over the past two years, with the AW2020 LFW season seeing 3 shows back to back in the room including English designer Hannah Weilands Shrimps.
