Beautiful Rooms - The Theatre, The British Library

Wednesday, January 19, 2022 - 14:45

The Knowledge Centre is the British Library’s most popular space and for good reason. Seating up to 255 guests with full accessibility, the Theatre is the main stage for the British Library’s fantastic ‘What’s on’ programme and is also available to hire for events.

It offers natural daylight, via a large round window overlooking the British Library piazza with an automated blind if you wish to have it closed. One of Theatre's best features is the bespoke lighting, which can match company brand colours with precision. The fantastic British Library AV team, advise clients on any technical questions and provide dedicated staff to support with the Theatre’s on the day, ensuring that everything runs seamlessly. This is what our clients say:

'We’re so grateful to you guys for making the presentations and other AV stuff so pain free and seamless such a great job!' BRE Trust

The Knowledge Centre foyer serves as the Theatre’s breakout and catering space. Light and spacious, this area is big enough for exhibitors and for guests to network, including lots of seating and cosy areas for sit down conversations.

Finally, the Chaucer Room positioned just off the foyer, is a perfect Green Room for speakers and organisers with a concealed, direct access route to the Theatre. Hire is also available on some evenings, making the British Library Theatre a perfect choice for evening lectures and talks accompanied by delicious, seasonal food and drinks.

Events caterer Graysons focus on locally sourced produce and sustainable catering solutions. The in-house chef’s sheer passion for food comes across in her speciality vegan and vegetarian dishes, catering wonderful food for any Theatre event.
