The Wakefield Tower sits within the Medieval Palace, at the Tower of London and this wonderful vaulted room was probably used by the King as a private audience chamber.
The Medieval Palace is one of the older areas of the Tower making up part of its outer ward that faces the river Thames. The Medieval Palace was used as living quarters for Henry III and his son Edward 1 in the 13th Century. These Royal quarters are made up of 3 towers: The Wakefield Tower, St. Thomas' Tower and the Lanthorn Tower and provide an atmospheric backdrop to all types of events.
On a fine summer evening, guests spilling out onto the Wall Walk will enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the White Tower, Tower Bridge and the River Thames.
