Together for Short Lives held their first ever Midsummer Ball on Wednesday 3rd June at Banqueting House hosted by patron Simon Cowell. The ball raised an amazing £400,000 in support of seriously ill children and their families.
Blue Strawberry supported Together for Short Lives with their event. Blue Strawberry Food Designer and MasterChef the Professionals Winner 2012, Keri Moss, designed a stunning menu in keeping with the theme, all served by waiting staff dressed as pixies.
The evening commenced with a reception held in the Undercroft, before guests moved upstairs to the Great Hall for a welcome speech by Marvin and Rochelle Humes. A very moving speech by mother, Lizzie Hornby, who shared her own experience of her son William was followed by performances from Katie Melua, Jack Pack and Britain’s Got Talent Finalist Isaac Waddington amongst other acts.
William Orbit completed the evening ensuring that all of the guests moved to the dance floor.
The venue was transformed into a magic Midsummer wonderland with beautiful flowers from Pinstripes and Peonies who transformed the venue from the front gate through to the final scattering of fairy dust on the tables.
