British Library hosts London Fashion Week

Thursday, October 4, 2018 - 12:45

Nabil Nayal is the first designer to present his spring/summer 2019 collection* at the British Library for London Fashion Week.

The event took place in our most spectacular event space; The King’s Library Gallery. Nabil loved the backdrop of our 65,000 volumes of printed books from King George III which make a truly stunning feature for any event.

Our executive Boardroom suite, usually reserved for business meetings, transformed in to a bustling Green Room with sweeping gowns, frenzy of powder, lipstick and hairspray and changing room! With restricted access to our 4th Floor this was the ideal space as offered the privacy they needed.

The King’s Gallery is just one of our unique event spaces available to hire at the British Library.  We hope that this event will encourage you to contact one our team to discuss the possibility of hosting your event with us.

Please contact either or quoting LFW to discover how we could work together to make your event memorable.  Alternatively, if you prefer, you can call us on 020 7412 7211.

* Nayal, who has also presented his work to the likes of Grazia and Dior, felt passionately about emphasising the importance of research in fashion education and practice through the archives available at the British Library. Research for his collection began with the famous Tilbury Speech, delivered by Queen Elizabeth I.
