Bubble Food

Wednesday, November 1, 2017 - 14:45
Innovative, elegant and sophisticated, Christmas parties at Serpentine Galleries are free from fussy Christmas trees adorned with tinsel and baubles.
With an international reputation for being at the forefront of showcasing cutting edge fine art, the Serpentine Galleries offer sleek and characterful spaces which, combined with Bubble’s luxurious and visionary menus, means that guests can celebrate a truly alternative White Christmas in style.
Guests will be greeted with a festive glass of Prosecco complete with lychee snowball pearls and invited to view the inspirational new show – Wade Guyton: Das New Yorker Atelier, Abridged.

In keeping with the minimalist feel, Bubble’s visionary Executive Head Chef, Jens Nisson, has created a dynamic White Christmas canapes collection which will be predominantly white in colour and geometric in shape, and presented on simple white light box trays.
Vegetarian collection

Vegetarian options include sumptuous White truffle and artichoke cones, white flowers, manchego, quince; fruity option, White pear spheres, goat’s cheese, walnut, dill, horseradish air; Japanese inspired Almond and white truffle sponge, shemeji mushrooms; and zen-like White cheese rock, sweet cicely, olive, cep.
Meat, Game and Poultry collection

The meat, game and poultry collection features a delectable range of earthy delights including White rabbit bon bouche, tapioca, lovage; seasonal treat, Boxing Day wrap – glazed ham, chestnut stuffing; and fragrant White pine snow glazed venison doughnuts.
Fish & Seafood collection

Pescatarians will enjoy an array of exquisite canapes, such as highly nutritious White cobia tartare, pineapple, wasabi, tobiko, white tapioca wafer; nostalgic ‘Jellied eel’ – smoked Lancashire eel rolled in ice white pickled celery root with clear elderflower jelly; client branded Bubble fish and chips – micro fillet of seabass, aerated potatoes, tartare on customisable edible newspaper; and atmospheric Plankton cracker – scallop, turnip, sea purslane, oyster mayonnaise – served on dry ice-filled box of white pebbles.
Sweet collection

Guests with a sweet tooth will not be disappointed with our divine dessert canapes – naughty but nice Sauternes white wine gummi bears served with spritz; zesty White chocolate, sesame and yuzu cheesecake; futuristic Slaked apple and hibiscus ‘iced tea’; Christmas spiced coconut macaroons; charming Baked Alaska mini cones, lemon curd ice-cream; decadent Silvered chocolate and salted caramel bullion in chocolate earth; and arty Lemon posset cream in white paint tubes.
Wade Guyton: Das New Yorker Atelier, Abridged

Wade Guyton’s new exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery provides a bold and fascinating backdrop for stunning Christmas events. The renowned American artist uses digital technologies – iPhones, computers, cameras, and printers – as tools to create both large-scale paintings on linen and smaller compositions on paper. Guyton is interested in the translations between these tools, and he transforms three-dimensional space into digital information that is subsequently reproduced.
Guyton’s paintings are printed onto linen which are folded in half and run, sometimes repeatedly, through large inkjet printers. Inconsistencies surface on the canvas, caused by diminishing levels of ink toner or technical glitches, distorting and disrupting the image, while intentional ‘errors’, such as streaks, creases and misalignments, occur as the fabric feeds – or is pulled – through the machine. Guyton’s works on paper are printed over pages removed from art catalogues, with the artist’s additions obscuring or revealing the original images and text.
