Bubble Food reflects on 2018 success

Last year was definitely one to remember, we catered and planned events at some of London's most prestigious venues for a number of loyal and new clientele and as a company we grew beyond expectations, all while enjoying every moment of it. Our mantra is simple: food is our passion, creativity is our mission and excellence is our ethos. By sticking to this each and every event has been crafted in a way in which we hope delivered above and beyond for our clients. Reflecting back on what a great year it was, below are a few highlights of what were some of the most gracious events of Bubble's 2018.


Last year, we were lucky enough to work with BAFTA on not only one but two incredible events. The BAFTA Nominees Party, held at Kensington Palace in February, involved a canapé reception for nominees such as Gemma Arterton and Margot Robbie, followed by a beautiful sit-down dinner. With Nespresso as the main sponsor, we created a bespoke and inventive menu that incorporated a different Nespresso flavour in each dish.

The BAFTA TV Awards, held at the Southbank Centre in May, involved a canapé reception and three-course dinner for 1,500 guests. In the months prior to the event, Bubble planned and prepared meticulously to ensure a flawless delivery on the night. In addition to a bespoke starter and main course, we collaborated with the sponsor, Hotel Chocolat, to create a ‘St Lucia Chocolate Terrarium’ dessert. Hotel Chocolat is one of few British chocolate makers to grow their own cocoa, which inspired us to base this dessert on their plantation in St Lucia. Awards Event Producer, Lucy Waller, expressed that ‘guests were wowed by a deliciously creative and innovative feast’.

Swatch x Hackett Launch Event

In addition to the large-scale events, Bubble is delighted to have executed numerous boutique events over the last 12 months. A particular one to remember was for the launch of the limited-edition Swatch x Hackett watch at Hackett’s flagship store. Around 200 guests attended, including the co-founder of Hackett, Jeremy Hackett, and the Vice President of Swatch, Gonzalo de Cevallos. To respect the Swiss / British collaboration, we created a bespoke canapé menu of traditional flavours from Switzerland and Great Britain including cured lake charr, smoked roe and crème fraiche beetroot blinis for one of the savoury canapes and Mont Blanc ice cream cones as a sweet option.

Corporate Traveller at the Victoria & Albert Museum

A magnificent evening at the Victoria & Albert Museum with Corporate Traveller in late November was one of the highlights of 2018. We had the pleasure of working in the world's largest museum of decorative arts and design, housing a permanent collection of over 2.27 million objects. It was founded in 1852 and named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The gorgeous gallery spaces and stunning John Madejski Garden combine to make the V&A one of London’s most unique venues for corporate entertaining. Bubble served a selection of interactive canapés, such as our truffle hunting experience and warm and hearty bowl foods such as our maple glazed lam with wasabi mash, purple umami veil and our macaroni cheese in two versions featuring caramelized ham hock or white truffle.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

At the film premiere of J.K. Rowling’s highly anticipated follow-up to the 2016 movie, we catered for a star-studded event in Leicester Square in November. The blue carpet was graced by celebrities such as Eddie Redmayne, Johnny Depp, Zoe Kravitz and more. Bubble catered for a number of movie premieres last year including Black Panther in February, Mamma Mia, Mission Impossible: Fallout, Ready Player One, Peter Rabbit and Red Sparrow to name a few.
