Monday, April 17, 2017 - 16:00

Central Hall Westminster is set to host an exclusive screening of the classic film Sister Act, boosted by a live 35-piece gospel choir and band.

On Friday 21st, Saturday 22nd, Friday 28th and Saturday 29th April, the rousing gospel choir and accompanying band will perform live versions of hit songs from the film as it plays behind them on the 30ft screen.

Amacoast Cinema have partnered with the Uplifted Voices choir for the show, taking place in Central Hall’s spectacular 2,400 seat Great Hall, who are part of the same team which runs the hugely popular annual University Gospel Choir of the Year (UGCY), now in its seventh year.

Paul Southern, Managing Director of Central Hall Westminster comments: “We are really looking forward to hosting this immersive experience for fans of the popular classic film, Sister Act. This is a highly innovative way of enjoying pop-up cinema and our Great Hall lends itself to occasions like this, providing the perfect backdrop as well as the space needed for a spectacular live performance by the Uplifted Voices Live Choir.”

Amacoast Cinema founder, Dele Aro comments: “We intend to put on one of the most powerful and uplifting immersive live cinema experiences to date. It will be great to see the brand bringing large diverse groups of people together to create new memories around film.”

Tickets start at £25 and more details of the show can be found via the Central Hall website here.
