Central Hall Westminster is Hosting a Series of Iconic Candlelight Concerts

Thursday, January 20, 2022 - 15:30

Central Hall Westminster, part of Central Hall Venues group, is currently hosting a series of iconic Candlelight Concerts produced by international experience and events platform, Fever.

The latest Candlelight events to be staged in the central London venue’s historic Great Hall are ballet performances to Hans Zimmer’s Best Works on 29th January.

Each concert, which lasts approximately 60 minutes, is designed to create an intimate ambience within the backdrop of the architecturally stunning Great Hall and its self-supporting domed ceiling, all bathed in candlelight. The Hans Zimmer concert features iconic tracks from the world-renowned composer including from films such as Gladiator, Sherlock Holmes, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Previous successful candlelit events, held at Central Hall Westminster in November and December included The Black Swan and More featuring ballet on the Great Hall’s stage and previous performances of Hans Zimmer and Tchaikovsky’s - The Nutcracker.

Paul Southern, Managing Director of Central Hall Venues, which runs Central Hall Westminster, comments: “It’s fantastic to see Central Hall Westminster back in business after the pandemic and what better way to celebrate than with these fantastic concerts. The Candlelight Concerts really do have such a wonderful ambience in our historic Great Hall. It’s an uplifting way to start 2022.”

Arielle Hutchinson of Fever, adds: “Our Candlelight Concerts are designed to be truly mood-enhancing and are all held in beautiful surroundings. Central Hall Westminster with its architecturally stunning Great Hall and building, provides the perfect backdrop for the ambience we are aiming for.”
