The Camellia Show returns to Chiswick House and Gardens from 3rd March to 2nd April 2017.
Come and admire the rare and historic Camellias in the Grade 1 listed Conservatory, a gorgeous array of blooms; pink, red, white and striped.
Visit the collection of 33 different varieties, many of which are descended from the original planting in 1828. Among them is the unique Middlemist’s red, originally brought from China in 1804 by Londoner John Middlemist, a nurseryman from Shepherds Bush. It is one of only two in the world known to exist – the other being in Waitangi in New Zealand.
Have the exclusive opportunity to purchase a choice of heritage varieties from the original collection with all income raised or donated to the charity in aid of the continued preservation of the Grade I listed gardens.
Why not make a day of it and stop off for refreshments at the award winning Chiswick House Café and visit the 18th century Villa on weekends.
