Delta Live plunge to new depths with Desperados

Wednesday, October 3, 2018 - 13:45

Desperados ‘Deep House’ Pool Party saw a partnership with party planning icon, Elrow, to create one of the most historic raves of all time, taking ‘deep’ to a whole new level. The Y-40 Deep Joy venue in Venice, Italy, boasts a pool 42 metres deep, that holds 4.3 million litres of water, making it the world’s deepest pool. This allowed for 400 fans, alongside influencers, to experience the event totally underwater. With the use of SeaTREK helmets, the seemingly impossible became a reality, as party goers put on their helmets to dive into an event like no other.

This was a truly remarkable event for us here at Delta Live. World-renowned DJ’s such as Peggy Gou and Artwork, who performed live from an underwater viewing tunnel, headlined the event, with each track being projected from aquatic speakers, boosted by 15 buttkickers. The use of this technology allowed for divers to feel the quality of the bass, even 42 metres underwater. This was amplified by the SeaTREK helmets which had been specially modified at Delta, to increase the quality of sound through custom built ear pods. An exclusive track produced by Artwork, ‘Deep Down’, was created to magnify the theme and demonstrate the sophistication of the custom-built ear pods used in SeaTREK helmets.  Peggy Gou shed some light on the event, calling it an ‘epic first’ and a ‘unique experience’, despite having performed all over the world.

With a PA system that catered to those who preferred to stay above the water, as well as beneath, the event could be enjoyed from every angle. With our expertise in audio and communications, we assisted Desperados in proving the psychological benefits of unique events such as this. With a study proving a 27% elevation in mood and a 30% increase in creativity after the effects of Desperados Deep House Pool Party, here at Delta Live we can ensure your event will leave a lasting impression.
