Dennis Woods, Chairman of Fisher Productions has been asked to join forces with The Lord Major of London to raise money for the Lord Mayors Appeal.
On September 19th they will abseil 289 feet down the Lloyds of London building; charities supported by the appeal are
· Beating Bowel Cancer
· Princess Alice Hospice
· Raleigh International
· Working Chance
Fiona Woolf CBE is the current Lord Mayor of London and the 686th Lord Mayor, the second woman to hold the role since 1189.
Woods said “ I am looking to forward to the abseil and honoured to be teaming up with Fiona to take on this challenge, we hope to raise a significant amount for the charity as a result.”
Woods is an avid skydiver and no stranger to adventurous endeavours for charity; in March 2008 he trekked to the North Pole spending 17 days covering over 150 miles in artic conditions. In November 2011 he joined a team sledging to the South Pole and raised over £5,000 for charity.
Woods became non-executive Chairman at Fisher Productions in October 2013 and has previously held Chief Executive roles in the energy and fuel sector. Woods is also an after dinner speaker and motivation coach and is the Master of the Worshipful Company of Fuellers.
