Food retailer and events caterer combine to offer ‘perfect package’

Monday, November 8, 2021 - 17:30

Combining the restaurant experience of a food retail business and the knowledge of a leading event caterer is a “recipe for long-term success”, according to the hospitality company behind an ambitious new collaboration.

Seasoned and Kudos are both part of Crown Partnership, a portfolio of events, hospitality and catering providers, committed to environmental sustainability with an emphasis on innovation and an appetite for success.

The two companies will now come together under the Seasoned brand to give customers a complete catering offer under one roof.

Charles Beer, Senior Partner at Crown Partnership, said: “Combining the complimentary skillsets of these two fantastic brands makes total sense for the modern customer, adding extra depth and strength while sharing expertise and best practice to benefit both existing and new clients.

“Both businesses share many synergies, with a desire to make everything easy for the customer at their heart. The key to their success is keeping things simple and building long-lasting relationships, and with such an overlap between the two brands it now makes sense to combine their resources and expertise.

“Seasoned is an event caterer while Kudos is predominantly focused on retail, but customers want a solution that encompasses venue management and retail sales along with venue sales, event catering and event management. Good food and drink are at the heart of everything we do, and we are confident this is the recipe for long-term success.”

Both companies operate across the whole of the UK, creating exceptional food, retail and event experiences across a national portfolio of leading visitor attractions, venues and workplaces.

Colin Sayers, Seasoned Managing Partner Events, said: “Seasoned is proud to be a family with an amazing array of skills, experiences, knowledge and perspectives which naturally encourages us to create, grow and evolve.

“Before the merger, Seasoned had the skills and knowledge from its food and events experts operating at more than 30 venues across London, while the Kudos team had invaluable experience in F&B, retail, conferencing, stadia and leisure. Now, we have these specialist skills and experiences all and we believe this new collaboration will be a winning combination.

“We are particularly looking forward to being able to inspire our talented chefs to reach extraordinary new heights with a clear commitment to training, development and career progression.”

Seasoned Managing Partner Venues, Graham Turner, added: “Every day our mission is to connect with people on a personal level whether it’s through our team or our food and to create inclusive experiences for everyone that are in tune with the ever-changing trends that unfold around us personally tailored to each client.

"This completes an aligning of skill sets which included the Flitch of Bacon Restaurant in Essex also merging under the Seasoned brand earlier in the year. We’re looking forward to an exciting time ahead as hospitality continues to emerge from the pandemic with renewed energy, enthusiasm and an appetite for success.”

Seasoned is deeply rooted in the food and drink industry with both Colin and Graham coming from a culinary background.
