Food Show cater two stellar events at V&A and Banqueting House

Tuesday, July 2, 2019 - 09:30

Food Show recently catered an event at the V&A, for 300 VIP guests. The occasion was an exclusive preview of the fabulous Christina Dior: Designer of Dreams sold out exhibition.

Spanning 1947 to the present day, this exhibition traces the history and impact of one of the 20th century’s most influential couturiers, exploring the enduring influence of the fashion house, and Dior’s relationship with Britain.

As guests arrived through the main entrance hall they were greeted by Food Show hosts serving a welcome glass of chilled champagne.

After visiting the exhibition, guests congregated in the Sculpture Hall and Garden as hosts served a delicious selection of canapés including Angus steak frites & warm bearnaise sauce; chive blinis topped with horseradish forage and Forman’s smoked salmon; confit duck severed on truffle pommes puree & pear glee and classic parmigiana buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil.

Food Show also hosted and catered a reception for 300 guests at Banqueting House, one of London’s most impressive event spaces.

Guest were welcomed into the magnificent Main Hall with a glass of chilled 'Coates and Seely’ Brut Reserve English sparkling wine, delicious on a balmy warm evening.

Food served on the evening included: Summer Asian inspired canapés of tuna tartare with tobiko, wasabi & crispy fish skin; smoked duck rice paper rolls, mint scented mango & shiso; umami aubergine with hondashi & wasabi mousse; Thai marinated fillet of beef with spicy satay peanut dip; Food Show signature spiced shrimp burger with sriracha mayo in colourful brioche buns and chopsticks of shiitake mushroom, ginger, coriander and nam-him dip.

After speeches had taken place, Food Show hosts circulated the room with bowls of ginger & turmeric spiced lamb cannon with hondashi tapioca pearls; crispy skin seabass, pad thai noodles & mango salsa and marinated silk tofu with Thai noodles & spicy salsa.
