The Garden Pavilion at Chiswick House & Gardens

Timed with the easing of lockdown and the much longed for opportunity to reconnect with friends and family, The Garden Pavilion at Lord Burlington’s 18th century villa, Chiswick House is open until the end of September 2021. Serving a seasonally changing British menu, including produce from the newly re-opened Kitchen Garden, via established premium London catering company, Food Show.

The fine dining restaurant, located adjacent to the beautiful villa, offers a prix-fixe 2-3 course menu for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Championing a farm to fork ethos and showcasing high quality, fresh and seasonal produce from Chiswick House’s own Kitchen Garden, the menu features modern re-interpretations of classic and well-loved dishes of yesteryear. The Garden Pavilion’s exclusive in-house caterer Food Show – who have worked alongside some of the most celebrated chefs such as Jason Atherton and exclusive and prestigious venues throughout the UK and Europe – have gone all out and crafted a menu indicative of Chiswick House’s history, whilst also remaining forward-thinking. To accompany the dining menu, Food Show’s expert sommelier has crafted a tasty wine list including English sparkling wine. 

Guests can sample inspired, seasonal dishes including Nutbourne heritage tomato salad tartare, burrata, black garlic, basil ice cream and sea coral buckwheat tuile, Pan seared fillet of Cornish sea bass with risotto primavera, Wye Valley asparagus and Parmigiano-Reggiano snow and Valrhona chocolate and raspberry Delice, roasted hazelnuts praline, raspberry sorbet and cacao nib crisps.

Inspired by Chiswick House’s spectacular grounds, birthplace of the English Landscape Movement, the interiors of The Garden Pavilion bring the outside in, along with embracing quintessentially British themes in a fresh and exciting way. Think festoon lighting, twilight trees and floral decorations, culminating in a space that effortlessly encapsulates the natural beauty of the gardens and the English countryside as a whole - intimate and welcoming.
