Historic Royal Palaces’ Milan Thakrar hailed as ‘One to Watch’ at the miaList awards

Friday, November 9, 2018 - 14:15

Milan Thakrar, Business Development Manager at independent charity Historic Royal Palaces, received special recognition as ‘One to Watch’ in the industry at the miaList 2018 awards on Friday (2nd November).

Celebrating outstanding and passionate individuals from all areas of the meetings, hospitality and events industry, the awards recognise those who go above and beyond the call of duty, with Milan hailed as ‘One to Watch’ for his hard work and dedication to both the industry and Historic Royal Palaces.

Milan commented on his accolade, saying: “I am so proud to have won this award – it was a real achievement to be nominated initially, but to be recognised as ‘one to watch’ is hugely rewarding. As part of my role at Historic Royal Palaces, I pride myself on identifying and filling gaps in team activity and skills, whether that’s developing an events based social media strategy, producing a multi-venue promotional video, or negotiating event partnerships to devise a multi-palace promotional weekend. We have lots of exciting plans in the pipeline over the next few years, which I can’t wait to see come to fruition.”

Liz Young, Head of Events a Historic Royal Palaces, who nominated Milan, adds: “We are thrilled that Milan has received this recognition, which he thoroughly deserves. Milan has made a real and measurable difference both financially and personally within the Historic Royal Palaces events department with his consistent hard work and infectious passion. We look forward to his continued success as an influential member of the Historic Royal Palaces team.”
