Lavender Green

Monday, March 7, 2016 - 12:15

With spring in full bloom, the scent of glorious Hyacinths and delicate Daffodils is filling the air at Lavender Green Flowers. We love this time of year, and all the delights it brings with it. The fresh and fragrant florals are bringing bursts of colour and excitement into our events (and our office) at the moment.

In the second half of February, we found ourselves in the unique Sir John Soane Museum. Bowls of fragrant florals were interspersed with nightlights along the length of the long dining table, which was beautifully dressed by caterers By Word of Mouth for an intimate dinner in this most interesting of venues. Although we’ve worked here for a number of years we are delighted now to be recognised as their accredited florist.

From dinner to breakfast under the glistening gold of the Cutty Sark dry berth. Royal Museums Greenwich hosted the most wonderful breakfast event, in collaboration with ourselves and Harbour and Jones. Inspired by the magic and the history of the Cutty Sark we dotted domes of clean white hyacinths in copper containers along the length of the long dining table.

Next, amongst the most regal of settings, in the beautifully traditional State Rooms at Kensington Palace it would be rude not to use Roses in our designs!

The very popular Monet to Matisse exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts has played host to many client events so far this year. We have embraced the subject matter with full force, creating our designs with ‘gardens in Spring’ styling.

To conclude, in conjunction with the Vogue 100 exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, we created modern and clean designs for our client’s reception drinks in the Lerner Galleries, changing our style to impactful and unexpected displays for their dinner in the Tudor Rooms.
