Lavender Green

Tuesday, March 22, 2016 - 13:45

February and early March haven’t exactly delivered warmer weather, so we here at Lavender Green have been clinging onto cheerful springtime flowers to brighten the days! Whilst the weather doesn’t seem to be progressing, the events industry moves on and we have been delighted to be heavily involved with corporate events, private dinners and weddings at some of our favourite places.

Amongst the eclectic collections of artwork in London, the Wallace Collection seemed only too perfect to host a private party for the most lively of clients. Vibrant and zesty spring flowers filled the Courtyard, with red and pink Tulips, Piano Roses and Lilac overflowing from the grand Wallace Collection urns.

Following this, over the Mother’s Day weekend, we moved our way to very grand Gibson Hall where a dreamy wedding took place. Channelling femininity we used Gypsophila and Sweet Avalanche Roses in blush tones forming imposing displays in stone urns.

We then visited one of our more regular venues – the Tower of London. This event began with the guests visiting the treasures in the Jewel House before settling for a magnificent dinner, catered by Ampersand, in the White Tower. Fulfilling the brief of a warm “Medieval Feast” we opted for opulent silver candelabras dressed with deep red, velvety Grand Prix Roses, two-tone Cherry Brandy Roses and soft textured Ranunculus, with Apples, Spray Roses and other rich flowers to create jewel-like designs in the atmospheric space.

Other equally lovely events we decorated in the last two weeks include dinners at Trinity House and National Portrait Gallery and receptions at London Transport Museum and HMS Belfast.
