So summer is over and autumn comes again bringing a variety of seasonal flowers for us to dress a number of exciting venues with. September is already proving to be an action-packed month and we have worked in some more amazing UVL venues including the very grand Kensington Palace, the classic Wallace Collection and the historical Guildhall.
We opened the month with a reception and dinner at The Wallace Collection; this time opting for more muted tones and designs against the extravagant backdrops. In keeping with the surroundings we used antique cylinder vases with blue bee delphinium, autumnal rustic hydrangea and ocean song roses.
Moving away from classic to an extremely unique venue, we had the pleasure of working in a true London landmark – the Cutty Sark. For this sit down dinner we maintained a simple contemporary look using crisp white hydrangeas in bold silver urns as well as white calla lilies and steel grass.
Holding on to the remnants of summer, we created designs in delicious berry tones for this event at the Guildhall. This time we opted for indigo and magenta hydrangeas, purple power roses and a variety of shades of antirrhinum to stand out against the sage green foliage.
Moving towards weddings, we think you’ll agree when we say you couldn’t ask for a magnificent venue to start married life in. Kensington Palace was the setting of this particular couples big day where we had the privilege of providing typically romantic arrangements including blush and ivory roses to soften the intricate design of classic blue and white china vases.
Watch this space over the coming months as we showcase not only the traditional red and orange autumn hues but also exciting contemporary looks…
