Lavender Green Flowers

Sunday, March 12, 2017 - 16:45

What a wonderful month Lavender Green Flowers have had so far celebrating all things female – with International Women’s Day just gone, and Mothers’ Day just round the corner. They have certainly been empowered in more ways than one by their new found understanding of the issues facing today’s women all over the world.

It was such a privilege for this cross-palace florist, and many other suppliers, to begin International Women’s Day with an invitation to Kensington Palace for a breakfast and private viewing of the much talked about exhibition Diana: Her Fashion Story. This exhibition takes us all on a journey through the Princess’s life. Featuring an array of not only items of her clothing, but videos depicting her Humanitarian work worldwide – it’s not hard to see why she became so loved by many around the world. It’s going to be an extremely popular exhibition…so where better to hold your event than in this inspiring section of Kensington Palace?
With all the blushing brides and dashing husbands-to-be attending the Hampton Court Palace Wedding Showcase, it would have been a mistake for LGF not to attend. The theme of “wonderland whites” and “mature yellows” provided this accredited florist with the perfect inspiration to use fragrant spring flowers with Narcissi, Muscari, and Craspedia all arranged in bark-containers for a natural style – perfect garden designs for The Garden Room!
Last, but certainly not least, Unique Venues of London’s most accredited florist and numerous other accredited suppliers had the pleasure of demonstrating their abilities at the Science Museum for a UVL Suppliers Showcase. Here they encouraged around 200 senior venue managers to become involved in creating their own display - a beautifully flowered UVL. There were some great acts also on show, magical lighting and sound and super canapés and cocktails for everybody to enjoy too. A real feast of variety showing what can be achieved at all of London’s Unique Venues.
