Lavender Green Flowers

Thursday, May 14, 2015 - 21:00

In the last 12 months Lavender Green has been fortunate to be included as a newly accredited supplier at over 20 London venues. Of these five are UVL Members, all of which we have worked at before and it’s special to us to be recognised officially.

We are looking forward to working at Serpentine Gallery more- especially in their forthcoming 15th annual pavilion. It’s an extraordinary structure, designed by architects Selgas Cano, and offers inspiration to install equally maverick, vibrant flower displays. An exciting venue!

We are also looking forward to being asked to work more at the London Guildhall- a space we have dressed on many occasions for many grand events, so we know it well.

Whilst April was a modest month (Easter holidays don’t help!), we designed flowers for clients at St Pauls Cathedral, British Museum, Tower of London, Natural History Museum and V&A, as well as at many other non UVL venues including the Boat Race!

May, however, is gang-busters as the event season really kicks off in London. And the Wedding season seems to have arrived- big time!

Talking of the Wedding season: Somerset House was once again home to the exciting Quintessentially Weddings Atelier, with Lavender Green as one of the suppliers showcasing. 500 orchids and 8 hours later, we created the most beautifully enchanting backdrop to entice any bride to be. We had no idea, however, of how well received this would be! 500 brides, their partners, parents and planners through the door and every single person stopped to say how breath-taking our room was – with many brides and suppliers alike using it for backdrops to their selfies! We loved being part of such a wonderful weekend, and can’t wait for all the fabulous weddings as result of this!

And as we move towards the warmest part of the year our Spring flower collections are giving way to all manner of glorious Summer flowers including the most feminine garden flower the Peony, fascinating Blackberry Scoop Scabious and the most beautiful Sweet Peas

We have some stunning and unusual props too which are showing at a number of outdoor and marquee events throughout the month- giant Acorns, Artichokes, Conkers, Savoy Cabbage and others which we have specially commissioned.
