Lavender Green offer inspiration for the 'Indian Summer'

Wednesday, September 25, 2019 - 21:00

Leading luxury event florists Lavender Green has noticed a dramatic increase in clients holding parties to celebrate the end of summer.

They invite readers to take inspiration for their next event from a stunning ‘Indian Summer’ party they recently designed and created floral designs for.

With September almost over there is even more reason to have a party, a little pick-me-up to celebrate the end of a fantastic summer and sweeten the entry into autumn.

Multi-generational, the end of summer parties are always full of energy with groups of people who are just passionate about having fun. The events florists’ is to simply create the most amazing floral backdrop for the occasion.

Lavender Green Flowers has noticed the annual end of summer is now an eagerly awaited event. Each year the parties (and the flower arrangements) have got bigger and better, with a particular trend for celebrating outside

Sue Barnes, Creative Director of Lavender Green Flowers points out,  “Everyone is after that magical, fairy tale experience and everybody wants to be outside. There are so many ways of doing something outside that looks stunning but in a relaxed way too,”

Recently the florists designed the flowers for an ‘Indian Summer’ themed party.

As Barnes continues: “It was as if Ibiza meets the Raj, with a younger, relaxed and informal vibe, not at all Bollywood but cool!”

Thousands of beautiful flowers were involved in the creation of the event and over twenty of Lavender Green Flowers florists played their part in creating these designs.

Guests entered along a stunningly beautiful arched walkway, with each arch completely filled with vibrant coloured flowers, designed to complement the garden planting scheme. At the end of six arches, guests could just make out the Indian-inspired marquee designs but when they got to the end of the walkway, the beauty of the flowers stopped them in their tracks and took their breath away.

Lavender Green’s dedicated events florists strung carnations by hand to create beautiful draping curtains and they framed the ornate pergola, which was lit into the night with twinkling real flame lanterns. The flower chandelier was made bespoke for the client and is a new design we are sure we will be seeing more of.

As Barnes sums it up, “It was an incredible opportunity and one hell of a party! Every year Lavender Green Flowers feel so lucky to be involved in the event and I personally am incredibly privileged to be invited; dancing through lunch, carrying on all afternoon and before falling into a cab after midnight. Not bad for a lunch party and a mark of its success!”
