June 2026
London’s iconic Roundhouse has recently celebrated two decades since it reopened as a multi-arts venue and youth arts charity in 2006. Over the last 20 years, the venue has established itself as a blueprint for how cultural spaces drive social change, investing over £50 million into more than 100,000 young people.

Since 2006, the Roundhouse has delivered over 35,000 creative sessions and 60,000 hours of studio time for as little as £1 an hour for young people. Furthermore, the Roundhouse has sold over 7 million tickets to gigs and shows, with every penny made from commercial events directly reinvested into its youth programmes.

The results speak for themselves: in a new survey, 92% of participants of the Roundhouse youth programme felt a strong sense of community, while notable alumni like Daniel Kaluuya and Jack Rooke credit the venue with launching their careers.

The celebration arrives alongside new research, commissioned by the Roundhouse, which highlights a critical nationwide shortage of safe, creative spaces. Amidst these challenges, the Roundhouse proves that cultural venues are a vital part of the solution.
