Thursday, February 16, 2017 - 13:45

LSO St Luke’s, the Grade I listed Hawksmoor church located on London’s Old Street has unveiled its wedding offering for 2017.

The 18th century church, repurposed to become the home of the London Symphony Orchestra’s music education centre, offers a corner of tranquillity in the beating heart of London’s Tech City.

Available for 220 seated guests, the Jerwood Hall provides a blank canvas with opportunities to personalise the space to suit any theme. The room is stunningly bordered by a series of panoramic windows which offer a view of the beautiful plane trees outside, while flooding the room with natural light.

A combination of careful external restoration and innovative interior design allows the venue to seamlessly blend charming contemporary features with 18th-century architecture and original exposed brick walls.

LSO St Luke’s similarly runs a rigorous tender process for potential accredited event suppliers, ensuring only the most established and innovative companies are appointed.

Christopher Cashman, Sales & Events Manager at LSO St Luke’s says, “More and more couples are opting for the urban charm of a city wedding but still want to maintain the privacy and elegance of a country reception. This is where LSO St Luke’s really shines! The venue offers a combination of historic grandeur with an urban edge; a stylish and sophisticated space which also allows guests a quiet slice of the capital which feels completely their own. As the home of the world famous London Symphony Orchestra, you’ll be hard pushed to find a more atmospheric venue than our Jerwood Hall.”

Wedding reception packages start from £8,000 + VAT. For more information on wedding receptions at LSO St Luke’s, click here
