LSO St Luke's

Wednesday, February 21, 2018 - 20:30

This March, LSO St Luke’s, the Grade I listed venue located on London’s Old Street is commemorating its 15th birthday with a month long celebration of music and events.

As part of the festivities, LSO St Luke’s will be offering 15% off venue hire during the month of March, as well as hosting a series of concerts, workshops and musical showcases.

Located in the cultural mile of Old Street between silicon roundabout and the city, the venue has become engrained in the social zeitgeist of the area having provided cultural activities to the community for over a decade.

Clients hosted over the years have included industry giants from the BBC and The Guardian, to ASOS and TED as well as several charitable causes, including Save the Rhinos and VISA. The venue was also chosen to host last year’s illustrious ECHO Rising Stars series which promotes the professional development of the next generation of classical musicians.

The venue boasts a rich and vibrant history from humble beginnings as a derelict and disused Hawksmoor church, to the UK’s foremost orchestral music education centre and home to one of the world’s most iconic and celebrated musical ensembles, the London Symphony Orchestra. Over the last 15 years, the venue has hosted musical icons from Elton John and Annie Lennox to Sting, Bruce Springsteen and James Brown as well as the world’s most prolific international orchestras and choirs.

Christopher Cashman, Sales & Events Manager at LSO St Luke’s commented, “It gives me great pride in joining LSO St Luke’s clients, guests and employees in celebrating our 15th anniversary. We’ve come a long way as an events space since the venue was opened in 2003 and are very excited about the future as we continue to support the work of LSO Discovery through our corporate events, as well as providing great music to the people of London.”

This announcement follows a highly successful 2017, including the venues most lucrative festive period on record.
