Madame Tussauds and Coca-Cola London Eye shortlisted in London Venue Awards

Wednesday, July 31, 2019 - 15:00

Madame Tussauds London has been nominated for Best Event Venue (500-1000 attendees) and the Coca-Cola London Eye has made the list for Best Venue with a View (500+ reception style) at the London Venue Awards (LVAs).

Both run by Merlin Events, the team behind the iconic venues have had plenty of reason to celebrate so far. An additional two of their famous event spaces were also nominated in the LVAs, giving them four shortlist spots in total.

Having a nice view is always a selling point for a venue, but it’s something else when it’s been solely created for delivering one. The Coca Cola London Eye can’t help but show off the London skyline during events. Some of the most recent uses have included product launches, yoga classes, private dinners and more. The types of events the London Eye can host are surprisingly varied which was a key factor in warranting its inclusion on the 2019 LVA shortlist for Best Venue with a View. The events team are always creating new and more innovative ways to utilise the venue, its capabilities and its famous sky-high scenery.

It is not Madame Tussauds' first foray into the awards world with the venue receiving a Silver in the National Venue Awards in 2018 for Best Events Venue (500-1000 attendees). The large-scale event space is recognised as a stand-out choice for clients who want to do something memorable. Being so unlike other large conference centres and exhibition venues was central to its placement on the 2019 LVA shortlist. The world-famous attraction is renowned as a unique venue for hosting large numbers of guests and used frequently by large corporate companies and DMCs to host post-conference parties or celebrate special occasions.

Thrilled by their inclusions, the London Eye and Madame Tussauds must now wait until October to find out whether either are named winners for 2019.
