Moving Venue Support Marks and Spencer Charity Ball

Thursday, May 10, 2018 - 16:00

Last Thursday saw Moving Venue cater for the prestigious Marks and Spencer Summer Charity Ball in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Having first catered for this event in 2016, this year saw 1,100 guests enjoy a Secret Garden themed dinner. Moving Venue worked closely with Marks and Spencer and Park Publishing to provide guests with a multi sensorial experience to bring the theme to life. The starter ‘Salt of the Earth’ of Potato and asparagus salad with seaweed, buckwheat, mint and lemon beurre blanc was finished off by waiting staff spritzing atomisers of bergamot above guests. A main course of ‘Beef, Beets and Berries’ was followed by dessert ‘The Greenhouse’. This stunning rhubarb and rosemary panna cotta with poached rhubarb, rose and apricot sorbet was hidden underneath a rose gold and dried flowers sugar glass pane, a perfect way to round off the Secret Garden.

The food was simply the warm up entertainment, as host Gabby Logan guided guests through a stellar line up throughout the evening including Paloma Faith and Kylie Minogue. Moving Venue are honoured to support such a worthy cause and look forward to seeing the final figure raised to support Marks and Spencer in their plight to prevent 9,000 cases of breast cancer each year by 2025.
