Museum of the Order of St John

Monday, June 26, 2017 - 14:30

The Priory Garden is in full bloom at the Museum of the Order of St John, and there is still time to book an elegant Summer Party amongst the herbs and flowers. Filled with traditional medicinal plants that the Hospitaller Orders used to treat ailments, the Garden is an oasis of calm on the edge of the City. The flowers are at their peak in June and July, but the structured framework provided by an ancient olive tree, clipped bay trees and herbal shrubs make the Garden a perfect place to entertain right through to the autumn.

The Garden comfortably accommodates 150 guests for a reception but has a uniquely intimate atmosphere. The flagstone paths, flanked by scented flowers, weave through the space, allowing plenty of spots to pause and smell the roses. With acoustic music floating on the breeze it can feel as though you have stepped out of time and out of the city. As the sun sets and the shadows lengthen it is comforting to know that the tube and train stations are a five minute walk, despite the feeling that London could not be further away!

The Priory Garden is particularly popular for Champagne receptions after wedding ceremonies, but works beautifully every day of the week for after-work parties. Whether you have a big birthday to celebrate or a networking event to host, the Priory Garden provides an incomparably memorable location.

Prices for a 3 hour canapé and drink reception in the Priory garden start from £48 per head.
